Reasons for Insomnia

Insomnia is commonly described as the person’s inability to fall asleep and stay asleep at night. However, insomnia can be classified into three cases. The first one would be, a person may fall asleep but will wake up several times or cannot fall back to sleep again. Second would be, a person will sleep but still feels very tired and restless when he wakes up the following morning. And the third case of insomnia is when you cannot get any sleep at all. Sleep is very important to regain the vitality of the body and rejuvenate it to function properly. Lack of sleep for several nights will affect your ability to perform well in your wok and may even place your health and safety at risk.

There are different reasons for insomnia which make many people suffer from many sleepless nights. But the most common reasons for insomnia are the following:

Stress

 This is basically the most common reason which affects the sleeping condition of an individual. Finances, family, career issues and pressure from the workplace makes you stressed and cannot sleep at night.

Psychiatric Problems

 Mental disorders such as hallucinations, bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression are also factors affecting sleep. These should be treated with the help of psychiatrist to improve your sleeping condition.

Disruptive Sleeping Cycle

            The body’s internal mechanism help regulate the sleeping patterns of the body. The body clock is programmed to sleep and wake up at the same time schedule. So when you are sleeping in irregular schedule, you are most likely to experience insomnia. Traveling across different time zones and jetlag are also reasons for insomnia. As the women age and experience menopause, their sleep cycle is also disrupted and may experience insomnia.

These reasons are not comprehensive but most insomnia sufferers experience these. Most people experience temporary insomnia but may become chronic if not taken cared of properly.

Marital Problems

We’ve been having marital issues and it seems like no matter what’s going on in our lives we’re fighting about it. I love my husband to death but he’s so unforgiving when it comes to certain things and there are times I want to just tell him to shove it rather than work through our issues. Like last week I asked him to get on directv Savannah websites and look into the kind of football package he wanted and he just never did and then he had the nerve to complain when the game didn’t come on our TV this Saturday! I was like buddy, what did you expect when you wouldn’t even do the one simple thing I asked of you? He’s a great dad but he’s always had trouble getting along with other people including his family and his colleagues so I feel like it may be more him than me. I don’t want to shirk the blame, though…maybe I should think about getting us in some kind of family counseling.

Insomnia has been a common problem of the people in their middle age. As you age, the quality of sleep reduces for both men and women but is more prevalent in women. The reasons for insomnia vary form each individual but the effects of insomnia are the same. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, lack of sleep can often disrupt your mental and physical capabilities to function properly.

A Busy Day Ahead

Tomorrow my husband and I have a busy day of running errands. I really don't look forward to those days, although I know in my head it has to be taken care of. Our first stop is the auto part store to get some oil, then we are off to buy some welding supplies for him to finish a project he has started. Then once that is out of the way, we need to make a stop at the pharmacy and off to the grocery store we will go. I usually prefer grocery shopping without him, but I figure there is no point in us taking two vehicles to run separate errands, so I'll tag along and maybe get some quality time in while we can.

Republican Debates

As soon as we got our direct TV hooked up, my husband was figuring out what all the news channels were. He is so obsessed with these republican debates that are on TV right now. Every night that they come on, he wants to watch every minute of theme! What kills me about the debate is that they air for an hour or two and they spend the first 30 minutes explaining the “rules” and doing introductions. It's like, we get it...we know who these people are! After I have to sit through the debate with him, then he wants to discuss each and everything that they said throughout the debate. Of course he has his favorite and he basically just spends the whole conversation telling me how what that guy said is the best thing and what all the other people said is the worst thing! I just listen, smile, and nod. One night I asked him why we always watch the republican debates but I never hear about any democratic debates. He thought that was pretty hilarious! He then explained that Obama will be running again, so there doesn't need to be any debates.

Love Our Pool

During the winter my husband or I usually leave our swimming pool pump running. Sometimes it snows where we live and always thought it would be a good idea to keep it going just in case it freezes.
