A Busy Day Ahead

Tomorrow my husband and I have a busy day of running errands. I really don't look forward to those days, although I know in my head it has to be taken care of. Our first stop is the auto part store to get some oil, then we are off to buy some welding supplies for him to finish a project he has started. Then once that is out of the way, we need to make a stop at the pharmacy and off to the grocery store we will go. I usually prefer grocery shopping without him, but I figure there is no point in us taking two vehicles to run separate errands, so I'll tag along and maybe get some quality time in while we can.

As soon as we got our direct TV hooked up, my husband was figuring out what all the news channels were. He is so obsessed with these republican debates that are on TV right now. Every night that they come on, he wants to watch every minute of theme! What kills me about the debate is that they air for an hour or two and they spend the first 30 minutes explaining the “rules” and doing introductions. It's like, we get it...we know who these people are! After I have to sit through the debate with him, then he wants to discuss each and everything that they said throughout the debate. Of course he has his favorite and he basically just spends the whole conversation telling me how what that guy said is the best thing and what all the other people said is the worst thing! I just listen, smile, and nod. One night I asked him why we always watch the republican debates but I never hear about any democratic debates. He thought that was pretty hilarious! He then explained that Obama will be running again, so there doesn't need to be any debates.

I recently had to start a search for a new sewing machine. I am an avid quilter, crafter and seamstress, and needed to find a quality machine at a reasonable price. It had been a few years since I needed to replace a machine, so I was pleasantly surprised when I came across the Brother xl 2600i.

Where you sit down to watch your http://www.direct.tv/ channels on your telivision and your husband/fiancée/boyfriend takes the remote and starts flipping through the guide like you weren’t already sitting there in rapt attention watching some chick fuss over a gown on Say Yes To the Dress. This is my pet peave. If you are reading this and you are my significant other heed this warning. Do not come change the channel when I am watching television! Do not mess with my “stories” as my grandmother would say. I find this highly rude and inappropriate behavior especially when we have like three other televisions in the house. Why do you need to come to MY television while I am watching something CLEARLY very important to me and start changing the channel? I don’t do that when you are upstairs in your Man Cave playing video games live with nine year olds do I? Ok well one time I did but it was an emergency! The dog barfed on the carpet and I certainly wasn’t going to clean it up. I have a serious issue with dog barf.

Getting the Word Around

I am a photographer and own my own business. I have my own website, which allows people to view examples of my photos, pricing, and date available for photo shoots.

I love photography. I feel that it was meant for me to be a photographer. I do many different kind of pictures such as: birthday parties, weddings, showers, models, and the seasonal Christmas photos. I make sure I keep my camera up to date with all the latest gadgets and I also keep in stock some of the more moderate props. Photography can be very challenging but also rewarding if you like what you do. Almost all photos I take I do my own editing.

Even though I do have my own website I still have to have the occasional advertising. I usually type in advertising agency in my Google task bar and find wonderful sites and reviews. The web is a much better for your advertising verses a billboard somewhere. More people are out to search the web to find deals and businesses in their area. I have booked many of my client that have found my website through an advertising agency online. It is simply wonderful how a company can get your word out for you.

The past two years I have been using the same advertising agency. This company does great in advertising. Since I have been using them my sales has almost doubled and my calender has become more hectic, but I love the rush of things and not to mention the money coming in.

Prepping for fall around the house

It's that time of the year that I need to start getting ready for the cold weather and last weekend was the first time that I really started thinking about it seriously. It's already starting to get pretty cool outside and it won't be too long until we have to turn on the heat and think about keeping the house nice and warm. So I'm making sure that all of our bases around the house are covered for that.

I was online looking up some weather proofing and insulating simple things that I could do myself. When I was doing that I ran across some info for Sears Home Improvement . After reading it I decided to go with them for some replacement windows. Our old ones are so drafty and that's no good in the winter.
